Not Quite Good Enough was founded by Pete Ski, Creator/Author/Caterer/Fluffer/Only Employee. Ski, a product of state college, tried to follow the path of the writer: be considered a hot new voice in college, get beaten down by pedantic classmates, slave over a creator-owned project, then write for other people’s websites for “exposure.” So having done all that, here he is again, sent back to the creator-owned stage. You are probably here due to deft “brand management” on Google or by accident. Either way, welcome!
Formerly known as 1/2 of the now-defunct Vs. Podcast, Ski has also written for Pop Matters and several trade magazines under his professional name. The attempt to make it to paying gigs like writing for Cracked were stymied by never being quite good enough to please the editors. Secure in the knowledge that the only place he could guarantee his work would be published is at his own site, Ski created Not Quite Good Enough in order to cultivate a place where adequate snark would be accepted.
Ski loves run-on sentences and finding other people to set up WordPress sites. He is vaguely aware of Twitter, Tumblr and Tinder, finding them all varying degrees of worrisome and intimidating.
